This project follows the CD Melodies Beneath the Forest and focuses on the cover, table of contents, and ending pages of the sheet music collection.
The design expands on the narrative world introduced in the CD’s story booklet, reusing selected icons and illustrations to emphasize a stronger sense of storytelling.
The cover features a large tunnel illustration, symbolizing the entrance into a musical world.
Inside the tunnel, fantastical imagery appears—night skies, forests, flowing light, and symbolic motifs inspired by animated storytelling—creating a dreamlike transition from reality into imagination.

Around the central frame, illustrations representing piano (score) and saxophone (solo) are placed.
The saxophone illustrations were drawn by Sumika Tsujimoto herself, adding a personal layer to the visual language.

The color palette uses soft pastels and multi-layered gradients.
While both versions share the same structure, subtle color differences distinguish the piano score and the saxophone solo editions.

Gradients were carefully adjusted for on-demand printing, minimizing banding while adding gentle visual accents that enhance the atmosphere of the piece.
The back cover illustrates the world beyond the tunnel, using familiar symbolic icons to suggest landscapes of land, sea, and sky.
The piano edition reflects a daytime atmosphere, while the saxophone edition shifts toward evening tones—together suggesting the flow of a single day.

The table of contents was designed as an exploratory experience.
Each piece is paired with a symbolic icon, allowing readers to visually connect the music with the illustrations used throughout the booklet.

The final page features a subtle accent of light, with eight rays corresponding to the eight musical pieces—bringing the story to a quiet, visual close.
